I am currently developing my own compositions inspired by my deepening relationship with the land of lutruwita, Tasmania. Below is a recording of one of Emily Sheppard’s compositions as well as the album that I am currently performing live around Tasmania at concerts, gigs and festivals with Yyan and Emily.

Aftermath.

Written by Emily Sheppard in response to time spent at Sarah Anne Rocks on Tassie's NW coast gutted by bushfires.

Originally for viola and voice, arranged for cello and performed on the cello by Georgia Shine for Cellar Sessions in Gardeners Bay, Tasmania.

Where Water Meets

I perform with the well-known Tasmanian band, Where Water Meets (previously named ‘Yyan and Emily’). Together we play highly original contemporary modal folk. Using retuned instruments, extended techniques, spacious soundscapes and driving polyrhythms, we push the breadth and possibilities of a violin, cello and guitar folk trio format. Have a listen:
